About me
Youssra is a passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism, rooted in her Arab African Muslim Canadian
heritage. With over 15 years in education, she has contributed to front-line mental health services, youth support in
non-profits, and currently works as a diversity education consultant with a local school board. As the founder of Unity
Crescent Consulting, she empowers organizations through tailored diversity training and strategic leadership
development.
Youssra holds degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Education, along with a Master's in Theoretical, Cultural, and
International Studies from the University of Alberta. Her leadership extends to roles within the Alberta Teachers'
Association, the Canadian Teachers Federation, Coalitions Creating Equity Edmonton, and the Africa Center. She also
serves as a Director for Islamic Family and the Center for Race and Culture. Committed to equity in education, Youssra
finds daily inspiration from her husband and four children.
