Welcome to uLead 2025. We are thrilled you will be joining us at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for our annual school leadership conference hosted by the Council for School Leadership of The Alberta Teachers’ Association.

If you have any questions during the event, we will have uLead team members throughout the venue wearing red and black plaid. The registration desk will also have our team available throughout the conference. This table can be found just outside of the Van Horne Ballroom where all of our keynote presentations are taking place.

About me

Dr. Randy Hetherington is Associate Professor of Educational Leadership in the School of Education at the University of Portland. His Ed.D. in Educational Leadership is from the University of Alberta, Canada. In addition to his tenure at the University of Portland, Dr. Hetherington served as an Alberta school Principal for 17 years during a 34 year career in P-12. He served as the chair of uLead for two years and is an honourary lifetime member of the ATA. He has authored book chapters related to school leadership and teacher flourishing and his work appeared in several refereed journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Hetherington has served as chair of an American Educational Research Association special interest group Research on the Superintendency and was honored as a Distinguished School Leader by the Council on School Leadership, Alberta, Canada.
