Welcome to uLead 2025.  We are thrilled you will be joining us at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel for our annual school leadership conference hosted by the Council for School Leadership of The Alberta Teachers’ Association.

If you have any questions during the event, we will have uLead team members throughout the venue wearing red and black plaid. The registration desk will also have our team available throughout the conference. This table can be found just outside of the Van Horne Ballroom where all of our keynote presentations are taking place.

Panel session: This presentation focuses on how leaders can confidently share their division's story, highlighting why Catholic schools are special places. An excellent Catholic leader advocates for Catholic education within and beyond the school community, making decisions rooted in Gospel teachings. By building confidence in delivering consistent and compelling messages about the Catholic faith, leaders can effectively communicate the unique value of Catholic education. This session aims to equip leaders with the skills and courage needed to inspire their communities and uphold the mission of Catholic education, fostering environments where faith and learning thrive together. Each presenter will begin with a 5-minute anecdote about confident messaging about our Catholic story, followed by a 30-minute Q and A session.

This presentation introduces the Catholic Permeation Toolkit, designed to meet the mark of an excellent Catholic leader who intentionally directs and fosters the development of Catholic education through faith permeation. The toolkit includes three bodies of knowledge that can easily be integrated into one's leadership language: 1) Catholic Social Teachings; The Parables and Divine Words of Christ; and 3) Walking with the Saints. Effective permeation requires leaders to focus on a few key concepts at a time and master them to permeate their leadership. The presentation will provide leaders with practical skills to bring back to their classrooms, enabling them to integrate Gospel values across all subject areas, enriching the faith experience for students and reinforcing the Catholic identity in education.
